- other material I voluntarily provide as part of my contribution.
I give Rezolva permission to record, reproduce, edit, publish, communicate and distribute my contribution in connection with Rezolva, Judgment in the Room, and related products, publications and services, subject to this agreement.
Where a recording is made, I expressly consent to the recording of my voice and, where applicable, my image. Rezolva will conduct recording in accordance with applicable law.

Rezolva may edit my contribution for length, format, clarity and presentation. Rezolva will not intentionally edit an attributed contribution in a way that materially misrepresents my expressed views or position.
If I believe an edit materially misrepresents my views, I may contact Rezolva under Section 8.
Attribution and integrity
Where substantive professional contributions are published, Rezolva will seek to provide appropriate attribution and preserve the context and integrity of the contribution.
Nothing in this agreement is intended to exclude or limit any moral rights or equivalent rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
SECTION 3: COMMERCIAL USE
I understand that Rezolva is a commercial venture and that some Rezolva content and services may be provided without charge while others may generate revenue.
Revenue may be generated through activities including:
- sale of books, e-books and publications;
- digital subscriptions or professional platforms;
- professional education and learning programmes;
- memberships or access fees;
- licences to publishers, educational institutions or other organisations; and
- other commercial activities reasonably connected with Rezolva's purpose of preserving and sharing dispute-resolution knowledge.
Revenue may support recording, production, editing, technology, publication, distribution and the continuing development and operation of Rezolva.
Unless Rezolva and I separately agree otherwise in writing, my participation does not entitle me to a fee, royalty or share of revenue generated by Rezolva products or services.
Rezolva will seek to provide appropriate attribution where my substantive contribution is featured.
If I wish to propose different commercial terms before contributing, I may contact sam.lawson@rezolva.org before signing this agreement.
SECTION 4: AI-ASSISTED USE & SAFEGUARDS
Permitted AI-assisted use
I understand that Rezolva may use artificial intelligence and other technology to assist with:
- transcribing audio or video into text;
- indexing and categorising my contribution by topic and theme;
- identifying relevant extracts related to particular questions or topics;
- making contributed insights searchable within Rezolva services;
- summarising views I have actually expressed;
- comparing expressed perspectives across contributors for research, editorial and product functionality; and
- helping users locate relevant attributable professional perspectives.
AI activities requiring separate written permission
Unless I separately agree in writing, Rezolva will not:
- create a synthetic or cloned version of my voice;
- create a synthetic version of my face or likeness;
- fabricate new statements and attribute them to me;
- create AI-generated video purporting to show me saying or doing something I did not say or do; or
- use my contribution to create a proprietary AI model designed to impersonate me, generate new statements in my voice, or represent predicted views as though they were views I had actually expressed.
Attribution and transparency
Where my views are presented or attributed to me, Rezolva will seek to:
- preserve appropriate attribution and context;
- maintain a connection to the underlying source contribution;
- provide an opportunity to identify material transcription or attribution errors before initial publication where reasonably practicable; and
- correct material errors that are brought to Rezolva's attention.
I understand that AI-assisted processing can produce errors and may not always capture nuance accurately.
SECTION 5: MY INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Pre-existing intellectual property
I retain ownership of intellectual property, methodologies, publications, research findings and other material that I owned before providing my contribution.
This agreement gives Rezolva permission to use my contribution as described here. It does not transfer ownership of my pre-existing intellectual property to Rezolva.
Licence to Rezolva
I grant Rezolva Pty Ltd a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to record, reproduce, edit, adapt, publish, communicate, distribute, display and otherwise use my contribution for the purposes and in the formats described in this agreement, subject to the safeguards, review rights and withdrawal provisions set out here.
The licence includes the right to create authorised extracts and derivative editorial materials based on what I have actually contributed, provided Rezolva does not intentionally materially misrepresent my expressed views.
Third-party material
If I refer to third-party material during my contribution, I confirm that:
- I will take reasonable care not to provide material that I know I am not entitled to disclose;
- I will not knowingly authorise Rezolva to use material that infringes third-party intellectual property rights;
- I am responsible for identifying any material that requires separate permission before publication; and
- if I inadvertently disclose confidential or protected third-party material, I will notify Rezolva promptly.
SECTION 6: CONFIDENTIALITY & PROFESSIONAL OBLIGATIONS
What I will not knowingly disclose
I will not knowingly disclose:
- confidential case, client, party or commercially sensitive information that I am not entitled to disclose;
- legally privileged material;
- information subject to a confidentiality, suppression or non-publication obligation;
- protected personal information about identifiable third parties where I am not entitled to disclose it; or
- information that I am contractually, legally, professionally or ethically required to keep confidential.
I understand that Rezolva is interested in my professional experience, judgment and practice, not in identifying confidential parties or matters.
Organisation independence
If I am employed by, appointed to or associated with an organisation:
- my participation does not imply that the organisation endorses, sponsors or is affiliated with Rezolva;
- my views are my own unless I expressly state that I am authorised to speak for the organisation; and
- Rezolva may identify my organisational affiliation for professional context and attribution, subject to any agreed anonymity arrangements.
Rezolva's obligations
Rezolva will:
- handle personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable law;
- take reasonable steps to protect recordings and personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure;
- assess and respond to any suspected data breach in accordance with applicable law; and
- use reasonable efforts to address confidential information identified during the contributor review process.
SECTION 7: ATTRIBUTION, PSEUDONYMITY & ANONYMITY
Default — attribution
Unless otherwise agreed, Rezolva may identify me using:
- my name;
- professional title and organisation;
- professional biography;
- photograph or image, where provided or recorded; and
- relevant professional credentials and qualifications.
Where substantive professional contributions are published, Rezolva will ordinarily seek to attribute them so that readers or users can understand the source of the professional perspective.
Requesting pseudonymity or anonymity
I may request pseudonymity or anonymity before publication. I understand that because Rezolva is designed as an attributable professional archive, anonymity may reduce the value of a contribution and Rezolva may decide not to publish or use a contribution if appropriate attribution is not possible.
Please select one:
☐ Use my full name and agreed professional affiliation ☐ Use a pseudonym or initials — specify: ____________________________ ☐ I request anonymity — no public name or affiliation
Where Rezolva agrees to pseudonymity or anonymity, it will use reasonable efforts to apply that choice to future publication within its control. Rezolva may be unable to remove identifying information from material already lawfully published or distributed before a later change request.
SECTION 8: REVIEW, CORRECTIONS & POST-PUBLICATION CONCERNS
Initial review
Rezolva will provide me with a transcript, summary or other suitable representation of my contribution for initial review before substantive publication where reasonably practicable.
Unless Rezolva specifies a different period for a particular contribution, I may notify Rezolva within 30 days of receiving the review material of:
1. material transcription or factual errors; 2. confidential information inadvertently disclosed; 3. an edit or summary that materially misrepresents my expressed views; or 4. another serious professional, ethical or legal concern arising from the contribution.
Rezolva's response
Rezolva will consider such requests in good faith and may, as appropriate:
- correct transcription or factual errors;
- redact or anonymise confidential information;
- reconsider an edit or summary that materially changes meaning; or
- explain why a requested change cannot reasonably be made.
This process is intended to protect accuracy, confidentiality and context. It does not provide a right of editorial approval over every future extract, layout, headline, summary, article or authorised use of an approved contribution.
Post-publication concerns
If, after publication, I believe Rezolva has materially misrepresented my views or published confidential information contrary to this agreement, I may:
1. request correction, contextualisation or removal from specified Rezolva-controlled platforms; 2. request that Rezolva consider a correction or retraction; and 3. exercise any rights available to me under applicable law.
Rezolva will consider such requests promptly and in good faith, but may not be able to remove material from printed publications, independent archives or third-party platforms outside its control.
SECTION 9: PERMISSION & CONFIRMATION
I confirm that:
☐ I am participating voluntarily.
☐ I have had the opportunity to ask questions about the project and Rezolva's practices.
☐ I understand the ways my contribution may be used, including publication, editing, AI-assisted processing and commercial use as described in this agreement.
☐ I understand that Rezolva may generate commercial revenue from products and services incorporating or drawing upon contributed material and that I do not receive a fee, royalty or revenue share unless separately agreed in writing.
☐ I have read the Rezolva Privacy Policy at Rezolva.org/privacy.
☐ I give Rezolva permission to use my contribution on the basis described in this agreement.
SECTION 10: PRIVACY RIGHTS & WITHDRAWAL
Privacy rights
Privacy rights vary by jurisdiction. Depending on applicable law, I may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, objection to or portability of personal information, and to complain to an applicable privacy or data-protection authority.
Requests should be sent to sam.lawson@rezolva.org.
For Australian contributors, access and correction requests will be handled having regard to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles to the extent they apply to Rezolva's activities.
For UK, EEA, Singapore and other international contributors, Rezolva will consider requests having regard to applicable local privacy and data-protection laws.
Withdrawal of contributor permission
I may notify Rezolva in writing that I wish to withdraw from future participation or request that specified future uses of my contribution cease.
To make a withdrawal request, email: sam.lawson@rezolva.org
On receiving a withdrawal request, Rezolva will assess the request in accordance with this agreement and applicable law. Where the request is effective, Rezolva will cease the relevant future use within its control and use reasonable efforts to address digital material under its control.
I understand that withdrawal cannot necessarily undo:
- lawful processing or publication that occurred before withdrawal;
- copies already distributed in books or other printed material;
- material held in independent third-party archives;
- lawful quotations or reproductions made by third parties outside Rezolva's control;
- information Rezolva must retain for legal, regulatory, security or dispute purposes; or
- irreversibly de-identified information.
Nothing in this section limits any non-excludable statutory privacy or data-protection right.
SECTION 11: GOVERNING LAW & DISPUTE RESOLUTION
Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
However, nothing in this agreement is intended to exclude or restrict any mandatory statutory right, privacy right, consumer protection, moral right or other protection that applies to me and cannot lawfully be excluded by agreement because of my location or the circumstances of my participation.
Dispute resolution process
If a dispute arises regarding this agreement or my contribution:
Step 1 — Good-faith discussion The party raising the issue should provide written notice describing the concern and the outcome sought. The parties will first attempt to resolve the matter through good-faith discussion.
Step 2 — Mediation If the dispute is not resolved through discussion, either party may propose mediation with an independent mediator agreed by the parties. Unless otherwise agreed, each party bears its own legal or advisory costs and the mediator's fees are shared equally.
Step 3 — Court or other lawful process If the matter remains unresolved, either party may pursue any remedy available in a court or tribunal of competent jurisdiction or under an applicable statutory complaint process.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking urgent interlocutory or injunctive relief where reasonably necessary, or from making a complaint to a regulator, privacy authority or other body where a statutory right to do so exists.
SECTION 12: LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- neither party excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited;
- Rezolva is not responsible for independent third-party republication, commentary or misuse of material that was lawfully published by Rezolva, except to the extent liability arises from Rezolva's own breach of this agreement or applicable law; and
- Rezolva does not guarantee that websites, digital platforms or electronic storage will be uninterrupted or completely secure, but will take reasonable steps to protect information and respond to security incidents.
Nothing in this agreement limits any remedy or protection that cannot lawfully be limited under applicable law.
SECTION 13: WARRANTIES & REPRESENTATIONS
My warranties
I confirm that:
- I have capacity to enter into this agreement;
- I am participating voluntarily;
- to the best of my knowledge, my contribution does not knowingly infringe another person's intellectual property rights;
- I will take reasonable care not to disclose information I am not entitled to disclose; and
- I have authority to provide any material I specifically supply to Rezolva for publication, subject to any limitations I identify in writing.
Rezolva's representations
Rezolva confirms that:
- it will use my contribution only in accordance with this agreement and applicable law;
- it will not intentionally materially misrepresent my expressed views;
- it will handle my personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable law; and
- it will use reasonable efforts to preserve appropriate attribution and source context where substantive professional views are published.
SECTION 14: ENTIRE AGREEMENT & CHANGES
This agreement, together with the Rezolva Privacy Policy and any written contributor-specific terms expressly agreed between Rezolva and me, records the agreement concerning my contribution.
If Rezolva wishes to make a materially different use of my contribution that falls outside the permissions given here, Rezolva will obtain any additional permission required by this agreement or applicable law.
Any contributor-specific variation to this agreement should be recorded in writing.
If a provision of this agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to operate to the extent permitted by law.
